Meet Ms. Valentine

About the teacher:

This is Ms. Valentine’s fifth year teaching at Blossom Hill School. She grew up in Pennsylvania, and moved to the Bay Area over ten years ago. She received her teaching credential through San Jose State University. Prior to teaching, Ms. Valentine received a Bachelor of Arts in International Business. She has worked in Singapore and for eight years locally in Human Resources.

Ms. Valentine became interested in teaching to several years ago when she assisted coaching a youth soccer team. From this experience, Ms. Valentine knew she wanted to make a difference in the lives of children.

Ms. Valentine enjoys teaching and loves to learn. She lives by the motto and importance of life-long learning. Her student teaching experiences include third, fourth, and sixth grades. Teaching elementary school is her favorite, because of the student age and their curiosity towards learning.

Outside of school, Ms. Valentine enjoys spending time with her husband and friends. She actively participates in many outdoor activities including team soccer, cycling, and hiking. Her most memorable experience has been kayaking the Na Pali coast of Kauai, Hawaii with her husband. When time permits, she enjoys traveling and exploring new places.
